Cogito Cow is a stream of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) ideas and inspiration for CSR practitioners. All posts are tidied up by country of their origin and if possible each post includes link to video. Majority of articles are about companies or people acquiring competitive advantage by creative implementation of CSR practice.
“Cogito” stands for thinking which is indeed human capacity. While “cow” in this case is meant to take a role of a synonym for inevitable polluter, thus man. Instead of calling this blog “thinking inevitable polluter”, I rather chose Cogito Cow. Clever, ha?
Cows’ PR has gone down the drain recently. They produce methane while digest, food they eat is being transported to them by trucks powered by fossil fuels, not mentioning fertilizers, etc. It’s not that cool to be a cow these days as it was hundred years ago.
Positive side is that some of these cows are conscious cows. Cows that contribute to the change not just environmentally but by creating sustainable and responsible businesses bearing in mind their people and planet.
At the end of the day, it’s not what you sell, it’s what you stand for.
